The hotel sits in a quiet, residential area north of Berlin, bordering the large Schönholzer Heide park - ideal for morning jogs or evening strolls. The bus stop (line 150) is 200 metres from the entrance, and the tram is reachable in about five minutes, connecting to S- and U-Bahn lines for fast city-centre access. During the day, the 20-minute walk through the park to the station is pleasant; after dark a taxi is recommended. The neighbourhood is well served by supermarkets and a petrol station within a few minutes' walk, and several restaurants are 0.5-1 km away. Embassy district nearby (USA Embassy is a practical option). Free on-site parking and street parking make this a strong choice for drivers.

Standard rooms are clean and functional, each featuring a TV, en-suite bathroom with hairdryer, and either a balcony or garden view. Some rooms have been recently renovated and feel more modern; others retain older furniture and carpeting that may show wear. The apartments are notably spacious - many include a separate living room, a well-fitted kitchen with stovetop, fridge, microwave, oven, and washing machine, plus a terrace or balcony facing the garden. Comfort rooms offer extra space, a sofa area, and soundproofed walls. Road-facing rooms can experience early-morning traffic noise, so a room at the rear or overlooking the atrium is preferable for light sleepers. Air conditioning is not available, though portable fans can be requested during hot periods. Kettles can be borrowed at reception.

Breakfast is served as a generous buffet (included in the room rate) and consistently praised for its variety, including hot scrambled eggs, cold cuts, several cheese types, fresh fruit, muesli, and good coffee from a machine. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available on request, and vegan items such as plant milk and muesli are usually present. During busy periods some items may run low towards the end of service, but replenishment is generally prompt. There is no evening restaurant or bar on the property, so plan to dine out: a few restaurants (Friedrich, Kaffeehaus Rosenstein, Stuck vom Gluck) are within 0.5-1 km, and vending machines in the lobby provide drinks and snacks around the clock.

The building houses a private art gallery in the basement, open to guests, featuring a sizeable collection of paintings. The central atrium is filled with hanging greenery and provides a calm, indoor garden atmosphere - a popular spot for reading or quiet moments. Free bicycles are available for exploring the leafy neighbourhood and park. For athletic guests, the adjacent Schönholzer Heide park is ideal for running or cycling. There is no swimming pool or spa; the property does not offer any paid wellness treatments.

Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the property but can be slow in some rooms - streaming may be inconsistent.
