STARLIGHT INN, VALLEY BLVD - DOWNTOWN LA, Los Angeles

The motel is situated on Valley Boulevard, roughly 35 km from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It is about 2 km from California State University Los Angeles and about 3 km from Monterey Park Golf Course. Public transport includes street parking and free on-site parking, but the area is car-dependent. Traffic can be heavy, and the surrounding neighborhood includes some transient activity and night-time noise from the busy road. For those needing quick access to Downtown LA or the university, the drive is manageable, but walking to most attractions is not practical.

Room options include configurations with one queen bed, two queen beds, or two double beds. Some rooms have a private bathroom; others may have shared facilities. Each unit features a flat-screen TV, a small fridge, air conditioning, heating, parquet flooring, and a telephone. No rooms have a balcony. Functionality can be inconsistent: some rooms have newer TVs and microwaves, but others may have issues with door locks, heating, or TV remotes. Noise from thin walls and from the adjacent road is common. The property is a classic budget motel: rooms can feel dark and compact, and cleanliness standards vary.

The motel does not have a restaurant and does not currently offer breakfast or coffee. A vending machine with drinks is available on the property. Guests should plan to eat at nearby fast-food or casual dining establishments in the Valley Boulevard area, or purchase groceries for in-room meals. No food service is provided, so self-catering or eating out is essential.
