STAYBRIDGE SUITES - PHOENIX - BILTMORE AREA BY IHG, Phoenix

The hotel sits off the SR51 freeway, providing easy car access to downtown, the airport, and the Phoenix Convention Center (10-15 minutes). It is a 5-minute drive from the Biltmore area with numerous restaurants. The immediate neighborhood has been described as having some homeless presence and police activity; however, the property itself and the parking lot feel safe, with free parking on-site. For those without a car, the complimentary hotel shuttle can reach the airport and businesses within a 8 km radius. For extended stays, a minimarket is available on site, and the freeway proximity does create background noise that is more noticeable in rooms facing the highway.

All suites include air conditioning, a full kitchen with stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and utensils. Room options range from studio suites (open layout, 2 queen beds or 1 king) to one-bedroom and two-bedroom suite. The two-bedroom suites have doors separating the living area from the bedrooms and accommodate up to 8 people. Every suite features a private bathroom with a walk-in shower or bath, a hairdryer, and free toiletries. The furnishings in some rooms have been noted to show wear, such as stained carpets and furniture. The bathrooms are functional but compact. For mobility needs, accessible rooms are available upon request. Rooms are cleaned only for stays of 7 nights or more; housekeeping can be requested for shorter stays. For those planning to cook, the kitchens are fully stocked with cookware, dishes, and a toaster.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 9:30 AM and includes warm dishes, pastries, fresh fruit, and juices. The buffet is designed to be child-friendly. The hotel also offers a snack bar and a complimentary evening social (Monday-Wednesday) with light appetizers and drinks. For guests with vegan or vegetarian needs, the breakfast options are more limited; the egg and meat dishes are placed close together, making cross-contamination a potential concern. The breakfast is a highlight for many, with a rotating menu and fresh coffee, including flavored creamers. For full meals outside breakfast, the surrounding area includes several restaurants within 1-2 km, such as Binkley's Restaurant, Barb's Bakery, Bick's, and a Middle Eastern deli.

The outdoor swimming pool is heated and open all year from 6 AM to 10 PM, with sun loungers, umbrellas, and a fence around it. The hot tub is free and available for relaxation. The fitness centre is well-equipped for a property of this category, containing six aerobic machines, three workout mats, a multi-cable station, and a complete dumbbell set up to 23 kg. Outside, a gas fire pit, BBQ facilities, a picnic area, and an outdoor fireplace provide additional spaces for relaxing and socialising. The pool and outdoor areas are well maintained and offer a pleasant retreat from the Phoenix heat.

The hotel provides free on-site private parking (no reservation needed) and a free shuttle service to the airport and within a 8 km radius. For business travellers, there is a business centre, meeting/banquet facilities (for a fee), and fax/photocopying services. A 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, and a locker service for luggage are available. Guest laundry is free (you provide or purchase soap). Wi-Fi is available in rooms for an additional charge. The hotel is pet-friendly (max 2 pets, 36 kg each) with a one-time cleaning fee. Safety amenities include CCTV, key card access, and a safety deposit box. Wheelchair accessible rooms, a lift, and accessible parking are provided. For longer stays, there is a minimarket on site that sells snacks and toiletries.
