STAY - GILMORE GUESTHOUSE, Edinburgh

Located 14 km from Edinburgh Airport, the property sits in a well-rated neighbourhood with easy access to public transport. A bus stop is 5 minutes away, and the West End tram stop is a 15-20 minute walk. Edinburgh Castle is 1 km away, while the National Museum of Scotland and The Real Mary King's Close are also within walking distance. The area offers several restaurants and cafés within 0.5 km, including The Counter, Tuk Tuk Indian Street Food, and Harajuku Kitchen Japanese Bistro. A Tesco Express is 5-10 minutes on foot. The property is well-suited for walking to central attractions, and Uber is available for longer trips.

The property offers double rooms with one bed and quadruple rooms with two beds. One room has an external private bathroom across the hall, secured with a code; all other rooms are ensuite. Rooms feature heating, a desk area, USB sockets by the bed, and tea/coffee making facilities. Spacious double rooms are available. Some rooms may face the road, which can be noisier for light sleepers. The building is over 140 years old, so rooms vary in layout; some may have limited ventilation. A fan is provided in the warmer months. Housekeeping includes towel delivery every second day.

The property does not have a pool, spa, gym, or other leisure facilities. The local area offers boating, kayaking, and canoeing opportunities, but these are not managed by the property. The quiet residential street and nearby parks provide a calm setting for walks, and the city centre attractions are accessible on foot for those looking for active exploration.
