THE 9 RESIDENCE HOTEL, Bangkok

The hotel sits in a calm, local neighbourhood that feels less overwhelming than the city centre. It is about a 5-minute walk from the back entrance of Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, making it a practical choice for medical visits. A 7-Eleven is within 2-3 minutes on foot, and a BigC supermarket is also nearby. For reaching central Bangkok, a taxi or ride-hailing app is needed - the area is not well-connected by public transport and can take 20-30 minutes to reach the city core. Huamak Station is about 10 minutes away by taxi. Nearby landmarks include Rama 9 Plaza (0.5 km), Emporium Shopping Mall (11 km), and Central World (13 km). There is free on-site parking, which is especially convenient for drivers.

The hotel offers several room types: a spacious double room with a balcony and a quiet street view or city view, a twin room with two beds, and a suite with a separate living area and a kitchenette equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, and tea/coffee maker. All rooms include a flat-screen smart TV with streaming services, free high-speed Wi-Fi, a work desk, ironing facilities, and a parquet floor. The private bathrooms feature a walk-in shower with free toiletries. Beds and pillows are described as very comfortable. Noise levels from outside are occasional but acceptable, and the air conditioning runs quietly. Modern lighting and daily housekeeping help maintain a fresh, clean atmosphere. There is no family room, but an extra bed can be added to a Deluxe Suite to accommodate three adults.

Breakfast is served as a buffet with both Thai and continental options, including a buffet with hot dishes. It receives positive feedback for taste and variety. The on-site restaurant also serves a set menu for lunch and dinner, featuring Thai dishes, and there is a bar/lounge area for relaxation. Several local dining options are within walking distance, such as a Thai cafe called Square Root and a variety of nearby restaurants. For self-catering, the suites with a kitchenette provide flexibility, and a 7-Eleven for snacks and essentials is just a 2-3-minute walk away.

Leisure facilities such as a fitness centre, swimming pool, sauna, or onsen are not available. The hotel offers a clean and quiet environment suitable for relaxation. Guests seeking more recreational options can explore nearby local cafes and restaurants or use the free Wi-Fi for entertainment. The quiet residential area provides a calm base for a good night's sleep.

The hotel provides a wide range of practical services: a 24-hour front desk, concierge, daily housekeeping (free), luggage storage (free), laundry and ironing service (additional charge), and fax/photocopying. Car hire is available. The property has a lift, and there are washing machines and dryers near the elevator on the first floor. Security features include 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas and outside, key card access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. The front desk can assist with booking taxis or motorcycle transport via an app, and private car service can be arranged at the counter. Communication with staff is also possible via the LINE app. Free on-site private parking requires no reservation.
