The hotel sits at 445 Nohonani Street on a calm residential street, yet it's only one block from the main strip of Waikiki with its shops, dining, and entertainment. Waikiki Beach is a 5-10 minute walk; the International Marketplace and Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center are within a block. The Ala Wai Canal is adjacent, offering a pleasant walking path. Numerous restaurants (Ebinomi, Paia Fish Market, Kono's, and more) are within a 5-minute walk. Bus stops one block away provide easy access to the rest of Honolulu, including Ala Moana Center and Diamond Head. The area is highly walkable and well served by public transit.

Studios (49 m²) sleep up to 3 adults plus 1 child with two double beds or a double and a California King. One-bedroom suites (60 m²) offer a California King and queen futon sofa bed. Two-bedroom suites (72 m²) feature a double, two twins, and a futon, sleeping up to 6. The penthouse (100 m²) has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a washer/dryer, accommodating up to 8. All rooms include air conditioning, a 55-inch TV, in-room safe, private lanai with seating, and a kitchen with cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and cookware. Some units show signs of age (stained curtains, dated bathroom fixtures) but are kept clean. Rooms facing the neighboring White Sands Hotel can be very noisy from a nightclub until late night; rooms on other sides are noticeably quieter.

There is no restaurant, bar, or breakfast service at the hotel. Each unit's fully equipped kitchen - with cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and cooking utensils - makes it easy to prepare meals and snacks. Several convenience stores are within one to two blocks, and major supermarkets (Safeway, Don Quijote) are less than 3 km away. For dining out, a wide range of restaurants - including seafood, Hawaiian, and international cuisines - is within a 5-minute walk along Kalakaua Avenue and Kuhio Avenue.

The heated outdoor pool (open 8am-10pm) includes a shallow end suitable for children and is rarely crowded. A dry sauna and a small fitness room with treadmill and stationary bike are available. Two rooftop sun decks offer mountain and city views. The hotel hosts free cultural programs: a shell/kukui nut lei making class on Wednesday mornings and a Hawaiian music sing-along with the 'Ilima 'Ohana Chorus on Fridays at 11:30am. Beach/pool towels are complimentary from the front desk.

Parking is free but extremely limited (approx. 37 spaces for 96 rooms) on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations; it often fills by early evening. Off-site street parking may be available but can be challenging. The 24-hour front desk provides free luggage storage, daily housekeeping (8am-4pm), and free beach towels. Coin-operated laundry is on the basement level ($4 wash, $4 dry, $1 detergent). A conference centre accommodates up to 45 people (fee applies; free with 15+ booked rooms). Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the property.
