THE FRENCHMEN NEW ORLEANS BY KASA LIVING, New Orleans

The property is perched on a corner of the lively Frenchmen Street district, surrounded by celebrated jazz venues, authentic dining, and vibrant nightlife. The French Market, Café du Monde, and the Mississippi River are all within a short, safe stroll. A tram stop is nearby for easy access to the city centre and Jazz Fest shuttle routes. Louis Armstrong International Airport is 23 km away. While the location offers walkability to most attractions, the immediate vicinity of the hotel can feel less safe at night for some due to a concentration of people on the street. Rely on rideshares or taxis after dark if arriving by car, as there is no on-site parking and public lots are unsecured.

The hotel offers 11 distinct room types, including compact Standard rooms for solo travellers or couples, Queen and King rooms surrounding the central pool area, and unique loft-style suites. Balcony rooms on the second floor overlook Frenchmen Street. For groups, the Frenchmen and Marigny two-bedroom suites sleep 4-6 adults with separate living areas, private balconies, and dry bars. Double Queen rooms share a patio and can be combined for larger parties. Rooms are furnished with plush beds and feature flat-screen TVs, mini-refrigerators, Bluetooth speakers, USB ports, and clothing steamers. Some smaller room categories have limited storage and a narrow layout, which can feel cramped for two people with luggage. The bed frames have protruding legs that create a tripping hazard. Standard rooms are petite but fully updated. A few connecting rooms exist for those traveling together. All rooms have private bathrooms with walk-in showers, hairdryers, and free toiletries; some bathrooms are tiny with limited counter space. Sizes vary, so larger rooms are a better choice for longer stays or carrying more luggage.

The central courtyard houses the hotel's heated plunge pool and a hot tub, both open to guests throughout the year. The pool is a popular spot for a daytime cool-down, open late into the evening, and is surrounded by limited seating with small tables rather than loungers - do not expect a full deck-chair setup. The hot tub's heater is currently not functioning, so water temperature will be cool or lukewarm. Adjacent to the pool area, the rooftop terrace provides a shared space with seating and views of the neighbourhood; it was used as a bar space when operational. The property also features a courtyard with art installations and a shared lounge with TV. No gym, spa, sauna, or fitness facilities are available on site. For leisure beyond the hotel, the location is a gateway to jazz clubs, bars, restaurants, and all the energy of Frenchmen Street.

The hotel provides free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property. Check-in and room access are handled via a digital keyless system using a smartphone app or a unique code, with a 24-hour front desk available for assistance and ringing the bell if the code is forgotten. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out. The property offers express check-in/out, a concierge, and a shared lounge with a TV. Amenities such as free water and tea are available in the lobby. There is no on-site laundry; a wash-and-fold service is available 10 blocks away. The property does not have a business centre or meeting rooms. Pets are allowed with no extra charges. The building is a historic structure; while air conditioning and heating are standard, soundproofing between rooms is limited. Housekeeping is not included in the nightly rate - the only available servicing costs $100 extra, so plan for no daily cleaning during your stay unless you pay for it.
