THE HIVE RETREATS IN YAS ISLAND, Abu Dhabi

The property sits in a gated community with 24-hour security, providing a safe and quiet environment. Yas Mall is 2 km away (a 15-25 minute walk), and the Yas Marina F1 Circuit is 2 km from the property. Sea World is directly opposite, and Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, and Warner Bros. World are within a short drive (under 10 USD by taxi). A Carrefour supermarket, pharmacy, and several restaurants are located within the complex, making self-catering easy. For those without a car, the airport is about 10 minutes by taxi, and ride-hailing apps are widely available. The community has a waterside promenade and children's playgrounds, adding to the convenience for families.

Each apartment features a separate living room, dining area, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and bath. The kitchens include a stovetop, refrigerator, oven, and tea/coffee maker. Apartments are available as 1-bedroom (sleeps up to 3 adults) or 2-bedroom (sleeps up to 5 adults). All units have soundproof walls, a flat-screen TV with streaming services (Netflix is available), and free WiFi. Extra bedding (sofa bed) is provided for additional guests, but it is advisable to confirm bedding requirements at booking as availability of sheets and blankets has been inconsistent. The balcony is furnished with seating, and some apartments offer views of the pool, lake, or Yas Marina. The overall decor is modern and comfortable, though some units show signs of wear such as curtain rails and bathroom sealant.

The property offers breakfast in the room and a restaurant on the ground floor. Breakfast includes continental, vegetarian, vegan, and halal choices. For self-catering, the fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals, and the on-site Carrefour supermarket stocks groceries, ready meals, and basic cooking ingredients. The Waters Edge complex also features a sports bar and a café (La Brioche), providing additional dining options within walking distance. Grocery delivery services are available for added convenience.

The outdoor pool is open year-round, heated, and offers a view of the surrounding lake and greenery. It is located across from the apartment building and is shared with the community. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided free of charge. There is also a separate kids' pool. The fitness centre is free to use and well-equipped. The full-service spa offers facials, body scrubs and wraps, manicures, pedicures, hair treatments, and waxing. Additional leisure facilities include billiards, table tennis, a games room, and a children's playground. The surrounding community has walking paths and basketball courts, and the nearby Yas Marina Circuit can be seen from higher floors.

The property provides an airport shuttle at an additional cost, and shuttle service is available within the area. For families, baby safety gates, board games, strollers, a children's playground, indoor play area, and a kids' outdoor play equipment are all available. Cots are provided free of charge. Business facilities include a business centre and meeting rooms. Accessibility features are extensive: the building has a lift, wheelchair access, tactile signs, Braille aids, and auditory guidance. Cleaning services (daily housekeeping, laundry, ironing) are available at an additional charge. The community has a barber/beauty shop and a minimarket on site. Security is provided 24/7 with CCTV and smoke alarms. Smoking is only permitted on the balcony, not inside the apartment.
