Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 18 km from the property; a taxi costs a flat rate of $36 for up to two people. The area around the hotel can feel less safe at night, with reports of homeless individuals and some street activity, but the building itself is secure with key-card elevator access.

All rooms feature a private bathroom with a walk-in shower (only three rooms have bathtubs), free toiletries, a flat-screen TV, a desk, air conditioning, and heating. Windows do not open, and there are no balconies. Rooms are described as very spacious, particularly the bathrooms with double sinks and large showers. The hotel restaurant and its rooftop bar are permanently closed, as is the lobby bar. The on-site coffee shop, The Daily Grind, is open daily and serves breakfast sandwiches, fresh pastries, and coffee - this is the only in-hotel food-and-beverage option. Breakfast is also available in the restaurant on Friday-Sunday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, either as a buffet ($25 per person) or à la carte. Several restaurants are within a short walk: Madam's Modern Kitchen + Bar (0.5 km), Oceana Grill (1 km), and China Wall Chinese Restaurant (0.5 km). For guests wanting a fuller meal, the area offers plenty of dining options within a 5-10 minute walk.

The rooftop swimming pool is open year-round from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, though it is not heated and has sometimes been noted as cold. The roof area has lounge chairs but no umbrellas; some cushions have been described as worn. Towels are available, but availability can be inconsistent - guests should pick them up at the front desk if needed.
