THE NOMAD HOSTEL&PENSION, Seville

The hostel sits in a pedestrian zone in the historic centre, where most shops close around 9pm and there are no night bars, keeping the area quiet at night. The Cathedral, Alcázar, Plaza Nueva, and main shopping streets are all within a 10-minute walk. Santa Justa train station is 2km away (bus32 stops 3minutes from the hostel), and the Plaza de Armas bus station is a 10-minute walk. The EA Airport bus costs €4 and stops at Marquez de Parada, a 10-minute walk from the property. A large supermarket and many restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. The area is safe for solo female travellers returning at night.

Rooms range from single and double/twin private rooms to 4-bed and 8-bed female dorms and mixed dorms. Private rooms have private bathrooms, while dormitories use shared facilities (some 4-bed female dorms have an ensuite bathroom). Many rooms have a balcony with city views; a few face an inner courtyard. All rooms include air conditioning and heating, a flat-screen TV, and a wardrobe. Private rooms also have a kitchenette with stovetop, fridge, kettle, and utensils. Beds in dorms have privacy curtains, individual reading lights, and a personal locker (bring a padlock or buy one for €3). The property has a lift and is wheelchair-accessible with adapted bathrooms.

The hostel does not operate a restaurant, but guests have free access to two fully equipped shared kitchens with stoves, ovens, fridges, cookware, and utensils - suitable for preparing full meals. Free coffee and tea are available throughout the day. A complimentary bottle of red wine is occasionally provided in some private rooms. An honesty bar on site offers beer at €1 each, and the rooftop terrace has a small bar. Numerous restaurants, cafes, and fast-food outlets are within a 5-minute walk, and two grocery stores are 500metres away.

The rooftop terrace provides outdoor seating, a picnic area, and city views, ideal for relaxing in the sun or in the evening. The property does not have a swimming pool or spa. Free walking tours, temporary art galleries, and bike tours (for an additional charge) are available. Shared lounge and TV area offer indoor relaxation. Bicycle rental is available for a fee.

Wi-Fi is free and reliable across the property. Luggage storage is free for check-in/check-out day, and can be extended for up to three days if returning after a short trip. A lift serves all floors, and the hostel has wheelchair-accessible rooms with grab rails, raised toilets, and lower sinks. Laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer) are available for a fee (token €4 for 30-min wash, dryer €3 per hour). Daily housekeeping is included. Safe deposit lockers, a tour desk, and express check-in/out are available. Reception is staffed 24/7; after midnight, guests can use the red bell at the blue door. No parking on site, but a secure public car park (Arenal) is a 7-minute walk away.
