THE ROEBBEK, Hamburg

The Roebbek is located in the peaceful Groß Flottbek district of Hamburg, a 15-minute walk from S-Bahn station Othmarschen (direct line to the airport) and a 2-minute walk from a bus stop with line 16 to Hamburg Altona. The Volksparkstadion is about 15 minutes away by car (4 km), and Hamburg Airport is roughly 10 km from the property. Several supermarkets (Aldi, Lidl), bakeries, and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Parks such as the Loki Schmidt Garden (20 minutes on foot) and Jenisch Park are nearby. Free public parking is available on site and on the street without reservation. The location is well-suited for guests who prefer a calm environment outside the city centre while still having good public transport links.

The apartments at The Roebbek are well-designed duplex units with the bedroom and shower on the upper floor and a separate toilet on the ground floor. Each apartment includes a private terrace, a kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and coffee machine, along with a flat-screen TV with streaming services, soundproof walls, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. The beds are widely noted for their exceptional comfort, and the high-quality bedding and pillows enhance the sleep experience. The open-plan shower with a glass wall provides a modern, spacious feel. Some apartments feature electric roof windows and exterior blinds for complete darkness. However, the design prioritises style over storage space - there is limited surface area near the sink and bed, and kitchen utensils are stored in high cabinets that may require a step stool. The upper-floor bedroom is accessed via a steep staircase, making it less suitable for guests with reduced mobility or for those who need a ground-floor toilet at night.

The aparthotel has a restaurant in the same building that serves a fresh, varied breakfast and dinner - a convenient option for guests who prefer not to cook. Each apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchenette (stovetop, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle), allowing for self-catering. Nearby, there are bakeries (within walking distance), a Steffen Henssler restaurant, and other dining options. Guests who stay for longer periods or prefer more variety will find Aldi and Lidl supermarkets just a short walk away, as well as the Café Elb Wein (0.5 km).

For activity-focused stays, the property offers free bike tours and hiking, along with an off-site cycling option. The fitness centre is available for an additional charge, with extras such as aerobics classes, fitness classes, and personal trainer sessions. Fitness/spa locker rooms are also provided. The surrounding area is quiet and green, with Loki Schmidt Garden and Jenisch Park within a 20-minute walk - ideal for jogging or relaxing outdoors.
