For the O2 Arena, walk to Island Gardens (5 minutes), take the DLR to Canary Wharf, then the Jubilee Line to North Greenwich - about 20 minutes total. Billingsgate Market is a 3 km walk. Numerous restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk, including The Lord Nelson and The Little Kebab House. However, public transport options become very limited after 22:00, making a taxi the best option for late returns. The area is quiet and safe, with easy access to the Thames Path and Greenwich.

Safety concerns during late-night arrivals (after 22:00) are significant because the pub closes at 22:00 and there is no overnight staff. The building has no lift, so all rooms are up a flight of stairs.
