FOX CONNAUGHT LONDON EXCEL, London

Room types include standard double, larger double, and a family room (with one bed). All accommodations feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with cable channels, tea and coffee making facilities, a wardrobe, safe deposit box, and a private bathroom with shower. Some rooms include a terrace. The property occupies the upper floors of a historic building without a lift, so all rooms are accessible only by stairs - those on higher floors involve a considerable number of steps. Rooms above the pub can experience bass noise from live events until closing time, while rooms near the side entrance may hear late-night door activity. The condition of rooms varies: some are described as spacious and clean with comfortable beds, while others show signs of wear with dated decor, stained carpets, and mould in bathrooms. A small number of rooms have reported issues with non-functioning air conditioning/heating and intermittent hot water supply.

The Fox Connaught pub offers a traditional British menu for lunch and dinner, with family-friendly ambiance and outdoor seating on a large grassed patio. The menu includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Overnight guests receive a 20% discount on all food and drinks. A continental breakfast is available for 9 GBP per person, served from the pub area. The bar stocks a range of beers including cask ales, and wine/champagne is available at an additional charge. The pub is popular with local workers and event attendees, and can be busy during major ExCeL shows. For those who prefer to eat out, several restaurants including a fish bar, a Chinese restaurant, and a pub are within a 5-10 minute walk.

There is no wellness centre, swimming pool, or gym on site. The main leisure facility is the property's large grassed patio and garden, which has outdoor furniture, a picnic area, and is a pleasant spot for al fresco drinks or relaxation in good weather. The pub downstairs shows live sports on multiple screens, and the surrounding area offers easy access to the Thames riverside path, Emirates cable car, and the O2 arena for entertainment.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. The hotel provides free on-site private parking (no reservation needed) - guests simply register their vehicle number plate at check-in. Luggage storage is available free of charge before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping is included without extra charge. Meeting and banquet facilities can be arranged for an additional fee. There is a safety deposit box at reception, and CCTV is in place both inside and outside the property. The reception desk closes at 11pm Sunday-Thursday and midnight Friday-Saturday; self check-in is possible for arrivals after these times using a door code provided at check-in. There is no lift, and not all rooms have a hairdryer. No airport shuttle service is offered.
