THE TREE HOUSE SURF CAMP, Costa Adeje (Tenerife)

The Tree House Surf Camp sits in a quiet, semi-remote area, providing a sense of isolation and sunset views over the ocean and La Gomera. Playa de Ajabo is 3 km away, while Aqualand and Siam Park are 12 km and 13 km away respectively. A bus stop is reachable in about 15 minutes on foot, connecting to Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, and Los Gigantes. The access road is steep and rocky, making a car nearly essential for comfortable movement and grocery runs. Private free parking is available on site.

Accommodation consists of tents and rooms with two single beds per unit, featuring shared bathrooms with a shower. All units have sea, pool, or mountain views. The rooms provide basic bedding, a shared kitchen for self-catering, and a terrace with garden furniture. Practical concerns include limited ventilation (rooms can become hot), occasional maintenance issues such as broken locks on room doors, and noise from the communal area that may continue until 2 a.m. or later. For a more restful stay, a private tent or a room with a secure door is recommended, and bringing an eye mask and earplugs is advisable.

A shared kitchen is available with ample fridge space and basic cooking equipment, spices, and utensils. The adjoining pool bar serves drinks during the day. Themed dinner nights (e.g., tacos, barbecue) are held regularly and are a central part of the social vibe. Nearby supermarkets and dining options are best accessed by car, as the camp is isolated. A vending machine is also on site for quick drinks and snacks.

The outdoor pool is open all year and features a shallow end, a pool bar, sun loungers, and sun umbrellas. Free yoga classes are offered several mornings a week, often led by a volunteer instructor, with the ocean as a backdrop. There is also a free public bath and a shared lounge/TV area. A wide choice of activities is available: hiking, table tennis, billiards, board games, themed dinner nights, walking tours, and cooking classes (some with an additional charge). Off-site options include fishing, snorkelling, and golf (within 3 km), all at extra cost.

WiFi is free throughout. Free private parking is available on site without reservation. The airport shuttle is available at an extra cost (both pick-up and drop-off).
