TOWNEPLACE SUITES BY MARRIOTT CORPUS CHRISTI, Corpus Christi

Situated in Gardendale, the hotel is a 15-minute drive from Corpus Christi beaches and about 17 km from Corpus Christi International Airport. Bob Hall Pier (21 km) and Mustang Island State Park (25 km) are reachable for day trips. Port Aransas Marina and the University of Texas Marine Science Institute are nearby attractions. The immediate area offers chain restaurants within walking distance, including an Applebee's (0.5 km), Popeyes (0.5 km), and Subway (0.5 km). Parking is located behind the building, so plan to carry luggage around the structure upon arrival.

Each suite features a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, stove top, microwave, dishwasher, and basic cookware - suitable for preparing meals or storing drinks. The separate living area includes a sofa bed, dining table, desk, and flat-screen TV with cable channels. Bedrooms offer a choice of king or queen beds with comfortable mattresses; some rooms include an additional queen bed instead of a sofa bed. Private bathrooms come with free toiletries and hair dryer. The decor is clean but basic, and the overall feel is practical rather than modern. Storage is generous, with a large closet and extra shelving. Noise penetration from exterior roads can occur; rooms away from the road are quieter. The sofa bed mattress may vary in condition - worth inspecting upon arrival.

The free hot breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, and dairy-free milk. The breakfast chef is noted for being friendly and attentive, keeping the buffet well-stocked during peak hours. For lunch and dinner, the hotel does not have a restaurant, but the picnic area with barbecue facilities - including a working grill (confirm propane availability) - allows outdoor cooking. Several chain restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, offering dinner alternatives.

The open-air swimming pool operates all year and includes decorative fountains that children enjoy. It provides a refreshing option during warm Texas months. The fitness centre is equipped with basic cardio and strength-training machines, free for guests. Bicycles can be borrowed at no extra cost, making it easy to explore the local area without a car. No spa or wellness centre is available on-site.

The front desk operates 24/7, with express check-in and check-out available. Check-in begins at 15:00 and check-out is at 12:00. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Self-service laundry (washer and dryer) is free to use. Luggage storage is offered free of charge. A business centre with free fax/photocopying (limited) is available. Pets are allowed with applicable charges. The property is non-smoking throughout and includes facilities for disabled guests, including accessible parking. On-site public parking costs US$5.12 per day and does not require a reservation. Note that the parking lot is located behind the building; there is no drop-off zone at the front entrance.
