Tropical Seas Hotel sits directly on the beach with a ramp providing beach access; an adjacent public beach access has no stairs. Myrtle Beach Pier is a 10-minute walk south, while SkyWheel Myrtle Beach is 6 km and Family Kingdom Amusement Park is a 5-minute drive north. Coastal Grand Mall is 6 km away. A Walmart is a 5-minute drive, and several restaurants are within walking distance: Damon's (0.5 km), Crow's Nest Oceanfront Bar & Grill (1 km), Woodhaven Pancake House (1 km), and Loco Gecko (2 km). Free private parking on site means you can easily drive to the boardwalk (10 minutes) or Broadway at the Beach (15 minutes). There is no airport shuttle, so plan to take a taxi or rideshare from Myrtle Beach International Airport.

The hotel offers a range of room types including King Oceanfront with a balcony and sleeper sofa, Queen Oceanfront with two queen beds (some with kitchenettes), and larger Penthouse suites with separate living/dining areas and full kitchens. Oceanfront rooms are 228 sq ft. All rooms feature air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, and private bathroom. Partial-view rooms have a side ocean view from the balcony. Room floors are assigned at check-in, though requests for higher or lower floors can be noted. Bed and pillow comfort is generally good, but some rooms have firm mattresses. Noise may carry from the pool area (open until 22:30) and from adjacent rooms due to thin walls. Road-facing or interior rooms can be quieter but may lack natural light. Pet-friendly rooms are on floors 1-3.

Mama Mia's is located on the second floor and offers Italian cuisine in a family-friendly atmosphere, open for lunch and dinner. The hotel also provides free coffee and juice each morning in the lobby. Vending machines with drinks and snacks are available on site. For other meals, a Waffle House is 2 blocks away and a McDonald's is 4 blocks away. Several full-service restaurants are within a 1-2 km walk, including Damon's, Crow's Nest Oceanfront Bar & Grill, and Woodhaven Pancake House. The pools can be busy with children during peak season, and the pool area closes at 22:30, so rooms facing the pool may hear noise until then.
