Some rooms have a bath with a partial shower screen, leading to wet floors. No rooms have balconies. Cleanliness is generally good, though some reports of dust. Beds vary: some find them comfortable, others too soft or hard.

The breakfast room can become busy when the hotel is full. For lunch or dinner, the on-site bar and coffee shop serve drinks and light snacks. Several restaurants are within a 0.5 km walk, including Schweinske, La Classe Capanna, and Sushi for Friends. Guests on a budget will find a Burger King 1 km away.

The hotel is also well placed for exploring Hamburg's parks, including the nearby Tierpark Hagenbeck.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. A 24-hour front desk provides tour desk service, private check-in/out, and invoice provision. Luggage storage is free. The hotel's private parking includes a secure underground garage and surface spots; however, spaces cannot be reserved. An overworked or under-resourced reception has sometimes caused delays, but the team is generally described as friendly and helpful. Business centre and meeting/banquet facilities can be arranged for a fee. Pets are allowed with possible charges. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, and smoke alarms.
