Urban Living Residence sits within a secure complex adjacent to the university, making it a convenient base for hospital visits, academic conferences, or exploring the PJ area. The nearest LRT station (Taman Jaya) is 2 km, and the MRT (Phileo Damansara) is 3 km; a bus stop is nearby. The building itself contains a minimarket, several cafés, and artisan stores on the ground and second floors, and the surrounding streets offer affordable local eateries. A Grab ride to the city centre or Mid Valley is affordable and quick, ideal for those without a car. Parking is paid and limited, so driving is possible but requires budgeting extra time and fees.

Standard rooms are compact but practical, featuring a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, parquet floors, and a desk in many configurations. The family room and suite offer a seating area, minibar, and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, bidet, and hairdryer. Connecting rooms are available on request (Standard Queen and Double rooms only). Sound insulation between rooms is limited, particularly for road-facing or connecting rooms, so light sleepers may prefer a higher floor or a corner room. Windows are fixed and cannot be opened in many rooms. A rollaway extra bed is available at RM 80 per night subject to availability.

Breakfast is a set menu (not buffet), available from 08:00 at the Daun café on level 2, and costs 35 MYR per person. It can be taken away if you are in a hurry - a useful option for early hospital appointments or travel. For lunch and dinner, Pokok KL offers a modern, family-friendly setting with a rotating menu. Several other cafés - such as Kedai KL, Can Can Bento Express, and The Morning After - are within the same building or a short walk, giving good variety without needing to drive. A coffee house and minimarket are also on-site for snacks and basic provisions.

The rooftop pool is open all year and offers a refreshing outdoor lounge area. The fitness centre is equipped for a basic workout, with free access for guests. The spa and wellness centre provides a range of paid treatments including foot, head, full-body, and couples massage, as well as hair and beauty services such as cuts, colouring, and styling. Spa/wellness packages are also available. The pool area has been noted as occasionally unmaintained, so checking conditions with reception before heading up is advisable. The garden and terrace provide additional quiet outdoor space.

The 24-hour reception desk can assist with late arrivals, lockers, and luggage storage. A shared kitchen on the premises is available for guests who want to prepare simple meals, though it is self-cleaned. Daily housekeeping is not automatic; you must request it at reception to have the room cleaned, towels replaced, and bins emptied. An ironing room with a board and iron is located on level 4 (near the surau), shared by all guests. Cots are available on request. The business centre offers fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities for a fee. A paid shuttle service can be arranged, and the property is non-smoking throughout.
