VIENNA SMILE APARTMENT SCHOENBRUNN, Vienna

The apartment is set in a historic building on a quiet street, offering both garden and inner courtyard views. The U3 Johnstraße station is just two blocks away, providing a 27-minute ride to Vienna Main Train Station (with one change) and direct access to the city's key sights, including the historic centre and the airport train connection. The immediate surroundings are highly practical: a supermarket, several restaurants (Blue Tomato, Restaurant M77, Heidinger, and Donna Diana), and a small park with a playground for children are all within a 5-minute walk on foot. The Schönbrunn Palace and its extensive gardens are reachable in about 10 minutes on foot, making the area ideal for exploring one of Vienna's top landmarks without needing public transport. For drivers, on-street parking is limited to 3 hours on weekdays (€2.10/hour), but free from Friday 19:00 to Monday 09:00. A paid parking garage (Meiselmarkt) and a P+R garage (Kendlerstraße) are nearby for longer stays.

The apartment offers one bedroom with two single beds pushed together, a separate living area with a dining table and a sitting area, and a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a stove, electric kettle, dishwasher, and basic cooking utensils, and the host often provides a washing machine with detergent, dryer, and some complimentary food items in the kitchen - a thoughtful touch for self-catering travellers. The space is soundproofed and overlooks a quiet inner courtyard, ensuring a restful night. Air conditioning and heating are available, and there is a work desk, ironing facilities, and a flat-screen TV. The apartment is clean and functional, described as feeling like a real home rather than a generic hotel room. Note that it is on the 3rd floor without a lift, and there is no private outdoor balcony or terrace. The single beds are comfortable but may not suit couples preferring a larger continuous mattress.

The fully equipped kitchenette enables guests to prepare their own meals, with a supermarket and several dining options just a short walk away. Restaurants within 0.3-0.5 km include Blue Tomato (0.5 km), Restaurant M77 (0.5 km), Donna Diana (0.5 km), Heidinger (0.5 km), Das Augustin (0.5 km), Mesk Cafe & Restaurant (0.5 km), Cafe Z (0.5 km), and Velobis (0.5 km). For a broader selection, the nearby Meiselmarkt shopping area offers additional eateries and a supermarket for supplies. The apartment does not have an on-site restaurant, but the combination of a well-stocked kitchen and immediate local dining options makes it a flexible base for exploring Vienna's food scene.

While the apartment itself does not have a gym, pool, or spa, the location provides easy access to leisure activities. The Schönbrunn Palace park, a 10-minute walk away, offers expansive gardens, walking paths, a zoo, and the Gloriette viewpoint. Hiking opportunities are available off-site (free). The nearby Vienna Ice Skating Rink and Wiener Stadthalle are within walking or short transit distance. For families, a small park with a children's playground is just 2 minutes up the road, and the apartment's quiet courtyard and soundproofing provide a relaxing retreat after a day of sightseeing.

The apartment offers free Wi-Fi in the rooms, air conditioning, and a washing machine with a dryer. Free luggage storage and lockers are provided for convenience, and express/private check-in/out are available. A tour desk can assist with planning. Safety features include a safety deposit box, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and key access. Laundry services are available for an additional charge. Parking is a notable consideration: on-street public parking is available nearby but is limited to 3 hours on weekdays (€2.10/hour) unless free from Friday 19:00 to Monday 09:00. A paid public parking garage at Meiselmarkt (4 minutes walk, max €10.50/day) and a P+R garage at Kendlerstraße (2 subway stops away, €3.40/24h) offer longer-term alternatives. The apartment is on the 3rd floor without a lift, and no pets are allowed. Cots (baby beds) are available on request.
