VILLA TUSCANY SIENA, Siena

This guest house is about 2 km from Siena's historic centre, a 20-30 minute walk uphill along a road that lacks a pavement in parts. A bus stop right outside provides direct services to the city centre, the Scotte Hospital, and Florence. The immediate area has several restaurants and a minimarket within a 5-minute walk. Being on a main road means daytime traffic is audible, but the location is quiet enough at night for most. Free parking on site is a major advantage for car travellers exploring Tuscany.

Each room combines Tuscan-style decor with practical amenities such as free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, a hairdryer, and free toiletries. Some rooms are described as spacious and clean, but others are small, especially when housing extra beds. The property is older and basic, with some rooms showing dated furniture and a musty smell. Noise from the main road and adjacent rooms can be an issue for light sleepers. A kettle with tea and coffee is provided in most rooms. Air conditioning and heating are available, though older units may not be fully adjustable. Rooms on the first floor tend to stay cooler in summer.

Breakfast is a sweet Italian-style buffet with fresh cakes, pastries, bread, and coffee from a machine. The offering is basic and may not suit those looking for savoury or varied options. The breakfast room can get crowded and cold. Breakfast can also be delivered to the room. Several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, including Da Michele and Trattoria Pizzeria La Colonna, offering practical alternatives for lunch or dinner.

The guest house offers free private parking on site with no reservation needed, and free WiFi in all areas. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is free of charge, and express check-in/out is offered. Pets are welcome at no extra cost. Common refrigerators are available on each floor. Payment is accepted by Visa and MasterCard.
