WELLDONE METROPOL, Seville

The hotel occupies a prime position on Plaza de la Encarnación, with the Metropol Parasol (Setas de Sevilla) literally outside the door. The Alcázar is a 3-minute walk away (0.5 km), the Cathedral and Giralda are 10 minutes on foot, and the lively shopping and dining streets of the old town begin just steps away. Seville Airport is 10 km from the property - the paid airport shuttle service or a 20-minute taxi ride are the most practical options. For those arriving by car, no on-site parking exists, but a public car park (Parking calle Imagen) is within a short walk. The property's central location means most major attractions, including the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, Calle Sierpes shops, and the riverfront, are all reachable on foot. However, the surrounding area is a busy tourist hub with late-night activity, so street-facing rooms can experience noise from restaurants, clubs, and pedestrian traffic until early morning. The nearest taxi rank is 100 metres away, and for longer journeys, the tram stop and bus routes are also nearby.

Guest rooms are contemporary in style and feature a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, electric kettle, and kitchenware - ideal for basic meal preparation. All units include air conditioning, heating, soundproof walls (in some cases double-glazed), a safety deposit box, free Wi-Fi, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Private bathrooms come with a walk-in shower, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Certain rooms provide a private balcony with direct views of the Metropol Parasol and the city. The Penthouse room and the Premium room are recommended for the best views of the landmark. Some lower-floor or street-facing rooms have been described as basic, with single-glazed windows that admit street noise, poor natural light, and, in some cases, moisture issues. Interior-facing or higher-floor rooms (e.g., Room 102) are noted as being quiet and spacious. The ground-floor rooms do not have a balcony - only a window. The Penthouse offers a private rooftop terrace with an exclusive-use pool and sun loungers, accessed via a spiral staircase directly from the room.

The property has a shared sun terrace on the upper level, equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas, and a massage shower, all free to use. The rooftop provides views over the Metropol Parasol and the city. Penthouse guests have exclusive access to a private terrace with a small pool - this pool is not heated and is only open during warmer months (roughly April-October). The Penthouse also includes its own loungers, so the space remains private. There is no spa, fitness centre, or communal pool. For leisure, the hotel can arrange bike tours, pub crawls, walking tours, and local culture classes for an additional charge. The solarium on the terrace is free and popular for sunbathing.

Check-in is managed entirely online with a code-based keypad entry system - no physical reception desk is present. Communication with staff is via WhatsApp, which is fast and responsive. Luggage storage is available free of charge before check-in and after check-out, with the added convenience of common toilet facilities for use while waiting. Daily housekeeping is included and is described as efficient when requested. An airport shuttle service is available for a fee and must be arranged after booking. Additional paid services include airport drop-off/pick-up, car hire, grocery deliveries, and babysitting/child services (the property is adults-only, so children are not accommodated as regular guests but babysitting can be arranged). Wi-Fi is free throughout and reported to work well even in bedrooms. Safety features include CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and in-room safety deposit boxes. The property is entirely non-smoking, with a designated smoking area outside. The lift provides access to upper floors. Bicycles can be stored inside the room. Payment is accepted via major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Some reports indicate that payment is sometimes required in advance via WhatsApp - travellers should be aware of this possibility despite a 'no prepayment' booking condition.
