WINDCREST INN AND SUITES, Fredericksburg

The motel is situated on a quiet road, 10 km from Rancho Ponte Vineyard and 29 km from Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. San Antonio International Airport is 100 km away. Several restaurants are within walking distance, including Campo Azul Mexican Grill & Bar (0.5 km) and Opa's Smoked Meat (1 km). Rooms feature a flat-screen TV, seating area, and carpeted floors. Some rooms have quiet street views. The property offers conjoined rooms (king adjoining doubles or king adjoining king). Beds are firm, and some find the mattresses too hard. Noise transfer between rooms can occur due to limited soundproofing. The property is older; decor and furnishings are dated. Some rooms have experienced cleanliness issues, including pest infestations. Bathrooms are compact and shared, with basic amenities. No balconies are available. Downstairs rooms can be requested.

The on-site restaurant, Sunset Grill, offers American cuisine for dinner. Breakfast is complimentary on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 to 10:00, featuring homemade waffles, pastries, breads, hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, and juices. No breakfast is served on weekdays. The restaurant may have limited hours; no bar is available. For other meals, several restaurants are within a short walk (0.3-2 km).

The outdoor swimming pool is open seasonally, typically from April to October, weather permitting. Pool depth ranges from 0.9 to 1.8 m. Sun loungers are provided. The property also has a picnic area with outdoor furniture and a barbecue area. No spa, gym, or other wellness facilities are available. A golf course is within 3 km (additional charge).
