2500 PENN, A PLACEMAKR EXPERIENCE, Washington

The property is in a safe, walkable neighborhood with easy access to Georgetown (2 blocks), downtown DC, and the National Mall. Foggy Bottom Metro station provides direct lines across the city and to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (11 km). A Trader Joe's supermarket is directly across the street, and numerous restaurants including Blue Duck Tavern and 51st State Tavern are within a 5-minute walk. Bus stops are also nearby, making car-free exploration straightforward. Guests arriving by car should note that the hotel's private parking is limited and fills quickly; nearby paid lots are available.

Units range from studios with one or two beds to one-bedroom apartments with a separate bedroom, kitchen, and living room. All have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower (wheelchair-accessible units with roll-in shower are available). While the rooms are spacious and functional, the furnishings and décor are dated; carpets and kitchen cabinetry show wear. Some units have a private patio. The sofa beds are very thin and uncomfortable - better used as seating. Higher floors offer good views. Air conditioning is provided but operates on a central heating/cooling system that may limit individual temperature control. Closets include extra blankets and a fan for comfort.

The fitness centre is basic but functional, with cardio and strength equipment. The shared lounge offers a space to relax or meet others. For outdoor leisure, an ice-skating rink is within walking distance, and Georgetown's waterfront is a 15-minute walk away. There is no pool or spa on site.

The front desk is staffed around the clock. Free luggage storage is available both before check-in and after check-out. Self-service laundry is in the basement (coin-operated), and a laundry service is available for an additional charge. Meeting and banquet facilities can be booked for a fee. The property is wheelchair accessible, with a lift and accessible rooms featuring roll-in showers. A safety deposit box is at the front desk. Parking costs $41.30 per day (first-come-first-serve) and includes an electric vehicle charging station. No daily housekeeping is provided unless requested; extra towels and amenities can be obtained from the front desk. Minimum check-in age is 21, and pets are not allowed.
