The neighborhood is dynamic and popular for nightlife, but the immediate area around Görlitzer Park can feel less safe after dark; arriving by taxi or public transport is recommended for late returns.

The building is an older property with creaky wooden floors and limited soundproofing, so noise from hallways and neighboring rooms can be audible. Room sizes vary: private doubles are approximately 25 m2 with high ceilings, while dorms are spacious. All rooms have heating, a work desk, and a window; some upper-floor rooms offer terrace access. Beds are generally comfortable. Shared bathrooms are single cabins that lock from the inside and are used by private rooms on the same floor. Dorms feature lockers (bring your own padlock or rent one). Cleanliness standards have varied; some rooms and bathrooms are well-maintained, while others have had issues. For a more consistent experience, consider a private room with private bathroom.
