The hostel is a 3-minute walk from Central Station, providing direct train links to Sydney Airport (10 minutes). The Haymarket light rail stop is right outside the entrance, offering easy rides to Circular Quay, the Opera House, and the Harbour Bridge. A Greyhound bus stop is nearby for longer journeys. Chinatown, with numerous restaurants and supermarkets including Woolworths, is within a few minutes' walk. There is no on-site parking, but paid parking garages are located close by.

Choose between female-only, male-only, or mixed dorms and private twin or double rooms. All rooms share gender-separated bathroom facilities. Beds are provided with linens; towels can be rented. Rooms have air conditioning and heating, but windows do not open, which can lead to a stuffy feel in some rooms. The metal bunk beds may be squeaky and upper bunks lack privacy. Lockers are large and each has an individual power outlet; you must bring your own padlock. The building has a lift, though it occasionally requires maintenance. Road-facing rooms can experience noise from the tram and late-night activity.

Breakfast includes toast, cereals, spreads, juice, and tea/coffee, served in the spacious basement kitchen. The kitchen is also available for guest cooking, with ample fridge space and basic utensils. Free tea and coffee are available all day. On Friday nights at 7:00 PM, complimentary pizza is served, creating a social atmosphere. There is no restaurant on site, but the surrounding Chinatown area offers a wide variety of Asian dining options within a few minutes' walk, including Pho Gia Hoi, Marigold, and Chinese Noodle Bar. A shared kitchen in the basement (no windows) allows self-catering.

The large basement lounge provides a TV area, board games, and vending machines for drinks, offering a casual space to relax. Free pizza nights on Fridays encourage mingling among travellers. For outdoor leisure, Darling Harbour is a 15-minute walk away and the Royal Botanic Garden is within 30 minutes. There is no swimming pool, spa, or gym on the property.

WiFi is available in all areas free of charge, though connectivity may be weaker in some rooms.
