The hotel sits in a ZTL zone, so driving requires planning; the nearby Giglio garage (€28/day) is the recommended parking solution. The cobbled streets and central position mean walking is the best way to navigate the city.

Rooms are individually decorated in a classic Florentine style, with each one themed around a Renaissance artist. The decor is charming but dated - wood-beamed ceilings, old-style furniture, and colourful bed linen. Room sizes vary; some feel spacious, while others are very compact, particularly the bathrooms. Bathrooms in standard rooms are extremely small, often with the toilet and shower combined in a tight space (some shared bathrooms available). The twin/ double bed setup often consists of two single beds pushed together. Rooms are air-conditioned, and many have city views. Soundproofing is minimal - noise from the street and adjacent rooms can be heard. Some rooms face the reception/breakfast area, which can be noisy from early morning. There are no balconies. Wi-Fi signal is strong at the front desk but may be weak in rooms further away.

Breakfast is served between 7:45 and 9:30 and includes traditional Italian coffee or cappuccino, freshly baked croissants, bread rolls, jam, butter, and pancake.
