AFFITTACAMERE LA CONTESSA, Siena

Situated in a quiet area between Siena's historic centre and the train station, the property is approximately 14 minutes on foot from Piazza del Campo. The escalators at Porta Ovile provide easier access to Piazza San Francesco, reducing the climb. A supermarket, various restaurants, and a shopping centre are within walking distance. The free underground parking garage eliminates the need for street parking-a significant advantage in central Siena. The bus and train stations are a short stroll away, making it easy to explore the city or the wider Tuscany region without a car.

The property offers double and single rooms, each with a private bathroom equipped with a shower, bidet, hairdryer, and free toiletries. All rooms have a private entrance, wardrobe, heating, and flat-screen TV. Some units include air conditioning, though its reliability has varied. Rooms overlooking the road may experience traffic noise, while those on the courtyard side tend to be quieter. Bed comfort is generally adequate for short stays; a few rooms have been noted as having firmer mattresses and larger dimensions. A shared kitchen and living area are available for guest use.

The property does not have an on-site restaurant or offer meal services. A shared kitchen and dining area provide a coffee machine, kettle, and basic cookware for preparing light meals. Complementary coffee and cookies are sometimes offered by the hosts. Several pizzerias and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk, offering dinner options.

WiFi is free throughout the building. The secure underground parking garage is included at no extra cost and does not require a reservation. Self-check-in uses a door code and detailed video instructions, allowing flexibility for late arrivals. The hosts are reachable via WhatsApp and speak Italian and English. Luggage storage can be arranged for early arrivals or late departures. The building has an elevator for easy access. Pets are allowed with potential additional charges.
