AH ROMA, Rome

The hotel sits in a peaceful residential area of Ottavia, about 8 km from Battistini Metro Station and 10 km from Vatican Museums. Ottavia station is less than 10 minutes on foot, with regional FM3 trains running roughly every 30 minutes direct to Valle Aurelia (Metro A interchange), St. Peter's, and Trastevere - journey time to central Rome is about 25-30 minutes. A night bus operates for late returns, though last train from the centre departs around 9.30 PM so timing is critical. By car, Stadio Olimpico is 9 km away and Fiumicino Airport is 30 km. No airport shuttle is available; taxis are an option. The area has several restaurants, a supermarket, and a laundromat within walking distance, making self-catering and local dining convenient.

Breakfast is served daily, with a range of sweet and savoury items - fresh pastries, pancakes, cheese, sliced meats, boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit, and juice. Both included and paid options are available (€10 per person). The breakfast is simple and basic; some may find the selection limited compared to larger hotels, but it is adequate for a quick start. There is a bar on site, though hours may vary. Several good local restaurants lie within a 10-minute walk, along with a supermarket for self-catering supplies. The restaurant on the lower floor is noted for good traditional Italian food at reasonable prices.

The property includes a garden area with outdoor furniture for relaxing, as well as a small on-site chapel. For those interested in exploring the surrounding area, bike tours and walking tours can be organised (additional charge). The area is quiet, suitable for walks, and the Via Francigena trail is accessible nearby. No pool, gym, or spa facilities are present, so this is best suited to guests looking for a simple, restful base rather than a leisure resort.

Private on-site parking costs €5 per day and must be booked ahead - accessible parking spaces are available. Wi-Fi covers all areas and is free. Daily housekeeping is included, with fresh towels. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals or late departures. The front desk can provide an invoice, and shared lounge/TV area is open for use. Meeting/banquet facilities and fax/photocopying are available for an extra charge. For safety, key-card access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers are in place. Pets are allowed on request (charges may apply). Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Maestro, CartaSi, and MasterCard.
