HOTEL ALDOBRANDINI, Florence

Set within the historic San Lorenzo Market, the hotel places you directly in the heart of Florence's historic centre. Florence Santa Maria Novella station is a 5-minute walk away, and the tram stop for the airport is just 3 minutes on foot. Walking distance to all major sights - the Duomo is 3 minutes away, the Uffizi Gallery about 12 minutes, and the Accademia Gallery 10 minutes. The neighbourhood is lively, with multiple restaurants (Ciro and Sons, Trattoria Antellesi) within 300 metres and a supermarket nearby. Street noise can be significant, particularly on lower floors, and some find the entrance difficult to locate due to the absence of a large hotel sign. The building entrance is shared with a restaurant (Ciro and Sons), which serves as a useful landmark.

The breakfast consists of a croissant, bread rolls, jam, Nutella, butter, and coffee from a machine. It is a simple continental offering, described as basic and sufficient for a quick start to the day. For those wanting a more substantial morning meal, the surrounding San Lorenzo Market and nearby cafés and restaurants - within a 300-metre radius - provide many alternatives. The breakfast room is pleasant and staff are accommodating. Breakfast is included in some room rates; check your booking confirmation for details.

The hotel does not provide a pool, spa, gym, or similar leisure amenities. The property's location in the historic centre means that all of Florence's cultural and leisure attractions - museums, galleries, parks, and shopping streets - are within easy walking distance. Guests seeking wellness facilities will need to use local services outside the hotel.
