ALLA DIMORA ALTEA, Florence

Alla Dimora Altea sits on Via Jacopo Nardi, just outside the ZTL limited-traffic zone, making it convenient for vehicle access. Santa Maria Novella station is 600m (7-10 minutes) on foot, with direct train connections across Florence and Tuscany. The historic centre and the Duomo are a 15-20 minute walk or a short tram ride. The T2 tram line stops about 100m from the entrance, providing direct service to the airport (20 minutes) and into the city centre. The property is next to Giardino della Fortezza park and the Fortezza da Basso convention centre. A paid parking garage is 200m away, while several restaurants, pizzerias, and cafés are within a 5-10 minute walk. The area is quiet at night, avoiding the bustle of the tourist core while keeping all major landmarks reachable on foot.

Each room is individually decorated with terracotta floors and period-style furniture, creating a clean and comfortable atmosphere. Standard amenities include free Wi-Fi, air conditioning (effective and quiet), heating, flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, electric kettle, espresso machine with daily capsule replenishment, and a welcome bottle of wine. The private bathrooms include a shower, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Some rooms feature a balcony or direct access to the large shared rooftop terrace, which has seating and sun loungers. Rooms are cleaned daily by housekeeping. The property is on the 6th floor with lift access. The character of the rooms suits those who appreciate a classic Florentine style over modern minimalism. Room sizes vary, with some described as spacious and others as compact but well-equipped.

Breakfast at Alla Dimora Altea is a simple continental arrangement: a basket with bread, pastries, and drinks is left in the room the day before for the next morning. It can be enjoyed in the room or on the shared rooftop terrace for a panoramic start to the day. An espresso machine in the room and a guest-use machine on the terrace are available 24/7. Because there is no restaurant on site, lunch and dinner require eating out. The surrounding area offers several options within a 5-10 minute walk, including pizzerias, Indian cuisine, bakeries, cafes, and wine bars. The minibar is stocked with water, beer, prosecco, and wine at very reasonable prices, making the terrace a practical spot for an evening drink.
