ALLEGRIA CESAR, Rome

The guesthouse sits in a safe neighbourhood, close to Villa Borghese (1 km) and Piazza Barberini (2 km). Rome Termini Train Station is a 17-minute walk or a short bus ride; bus stops are just outside the building, and the metro is about 10 minutes on foot. The area offers several trattorias, gelaterias, and cafés within a few hundred metres, catering mainly to local clientele. For airport transfers, Ciampino Airport is 15 km away. The property states it is in the real heart of Rome.

Available room types include triple rooms with two beds. All rooms are en-suite with a private bathroom. Room sizes can be compact, and some have city views; no balconies are present. Beds are a consistent weak point - many comment that mattresses are worn, with visible springs, and pillows are often described as lumpy. The property lacks in-room kitchenettes, kettles, or refrigerators, though some basic extras like a hairdryer and free toiletries are standard. The overall decor is basic and can feel dated, with some reports of peeling wallpaper and less-than-ideal cleanliness in corners. However, daily cleaning typically includes changing towels and making the bed, and air conditioning is reported to function well. Rooms facing the road may experience street noise, and internal soundproofing is limited, so noise from neighbouring rooms can be audible.

Allegria Cesar does not have its own restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. For morning meals, a nearby bar (just 3 minutes on foot) offers breakfast options at a reasonable price. For lunch and dinner, the surrounding streets (within 0.3-0.5 km) supply a variety of choices: trattorias such as Bezzicheria, gelaterias like Gelateria La Romana, pizzerias including Pizza Cilento, and other casual dining spots such as I Mattacchioni and Lime Restaurant & Bar. The area is well served by local, non-touristy establishments, so guests who prefer eating in the neighbourhood have ample options.

The property has no spa, swimming pool, or wellness centre. For leisure activities, Villa Borghese gardens are 1 km away and offer walking trails and green space. An ice-skating rink is also in the surroundings.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the building. A lift serves upper floors, which is helpful for luggage - though it is narrow. Express check-in and check-out are offered. A paid shuttle service operates from Ciampino Airport (45 EUR each way between 08:00-21:00, 50 EUR after 21:00, for up to three people). Late check-in after 23:00 can be arranged for a 15 EUR supplement. A safety deposit box is available for an additional fee. No parking is provided. The property has no 24-hour reception; the main contact is via WhatsApp or Booking messaging, and many services - including key-code access and late-check-in procedures - are managed remotely. Daily housekeeping is generally provided (changing towels and making the bed), though deep cleaning can be inconsistent. Luggage storage is sometimes possible for a small charge but should be confirmed in advance. Accepted payment methods: Visa, Maestro, CartaSi, MasterCard.
