ALMAGRO APARTMENTS, Madrid

The property sits in a well-connected central neighbourhood, 160 m from Gran Vía Metro and 1160 m from Plaza de España Metro. The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and Puerta del Sol are both 2 km away, reachable on foot. Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport is 17 km away. Several restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk. The central location allows car-free exploration, but no on-site parking exists. Use the metro or walk to reach the main attractions.

The apartment has one separate bedroom and a living room, though some units use a screen instead of a full door between areas. It contains a private bathroom with a shower, a kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and tea/coffee maker, plus a washing machine, TV, and ironing facilities. Air conditioning and heating are available. Noise levels are high: the building's sliding entrance door and lift machinery create continuous loud sounds that make sleep difficult even with windows closed. Cleanliness and maintenance issues (stained sheets, humidity, broken fixtures) have led to consistency concerns.

The apartment's kitchen includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine with capsules, and an electric kettle, making self-catering easy. No on-site restaurant or breakfast is available, but the surrounding area offers numerous dining options within a 5-minute walk, including Ten con Ten, Benares Madrid, and Casa Tua Gourmet. The provided kitchen equipment is sufficient for preparing full meals, especially for longer stays.

The property does not have a pool, spa, gym, or other recreational facilities. Its central location places guests within walking distance of museums, shopping, and entertainment venues. The apartment's kitchen and laundry facilities support longer urban stays, but leisure options depend entirely on the surrounding city.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment. The building has a lift. Luggage storage is available at the office after check-out. There is a washing machine in the unit and a paid dryer (€3) in the building's laundry room. Staff can be contacted via WhatsApp and respond quickly. Reception is staffed during the day. A security deposit is required on arrival. Bicycles can be stored inside the apartment. Pets are not allowed.
