Hotel Details

Location

Alura Inn is 6 km from San Jose International Airport and Santa Clara University, and 13 km from the McEnery Convention Center.

The hotel sits near Silicon Valley, with the airport and university both about 6 km away. The freeway is a 3-minute drive, making car travel convenient for reaching Stanford University (29 km) and other tech hubs. The surrounding area is quiet and residential, with gas stations on either side for drinks and snacks. Parking is free but the lot is limited and shared with the on-site restaurant, so finding a space can be tight during busy times.

Accommodation

Rooms come with air conditioning, cable TV, microwave, refrigerator, and free Wi-Fi. Some suites offer separate bedrooms and kitchenettes.

Accommodation ranges from double rooms to spacious suites with two bedrooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and include a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a desk, and a safe deposit box. Private bathrooms are an option. Some units feature a kitchenette with cookware. The property is older and basic, suited to travellers who prioritise location and practical amenities over modern decor. Rooms can vary in condition, so requesting a well-maintained room is advisable. The hotel is a popular choice for repeat visitors.

Wellness and Leisure

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre.

There is no pool, spa, or fitness facility on site. Leisure options are limited, making the property better suited to travellers focusing on location and cost rather than recreational amenities.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, free private parking, 24-hour front desk, laundry, and a vending machine for drinks.

The 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/out and can handle photocopying and printing requests. Daily housekeeping is included. Laundry and dry-cleaning are available for an additional charge. A drinks vending machine is on site. Parking is free and does not require a reservation but the lot is small and shared with the restaurant. The hotel is cashless, accepting American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, Carte Blanche, and MasterCard. Luggage storage is available, and the property has non-smoking rooms and family rooms.
