AMADEUS HOTEL, Paris

The hotel sits on a quiet side street in the 12th arrondissement, within a 5-minute walk to Nation Metro station (lines 1, 2, 6, 9 and RER A). Gare de Lyon is 15 minutes on foot, and the metro provides direct access to the Louvre, Opéra Garnier, and the theatre district. The surrounding neighbourhood offers a wide selection of restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a large supermarket less than a block away. For those arriving by train from Gare de Bercy, the metro journey takes about 26 minutes. The area is peaceful yet well-connected, making it suitable for exploring Paris on foot and by public transport.

Rooms are compact and efficiently furnished. Soundproofing is present but may not fully block noise from the metro (which runs beneath the hotel) or from adjacent rooms. Light sleepers should request a room on an upper floor away from the street during the warmer months, when windows may need to be opened as air conditioning is not available. Each room features a private bathroom with either a bath or shower, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Tea and coffee making facilities, a safe, and a flat-screen TV are standard. The studio apartment includes a kitchenette with a dining area, suitable for longer stays. Daily housekeeping is provided.

Breakfast includes fresh bread, pastries, cereal, juice, and hot drinks. The dining room seats approximately 10-12 guests, so arriving early is advisable during busy periods. There is no restaurant or room service on site, but a vending machine for drinks is available 24/7. The lively 12th arrondissement offers numerous cafes, bakeries, and restaurants within a short walk for other meals.
