APTO PRADOLONGO, Madrid

The apartment is on Calle Isidra Jiménez 42 in the Usera neighbourhood, a lively area known for its Asian restaurants and shops. Public transport is very accessible: a bus stop is 1 minute away and the metro station is a 10-minute walk. Key landmarks include Puerta de Atocha (4 km), Reina Sofía Museum (5 km), and El Retiro Park (6 km). Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport is 17 km away, reachable by the paid airport shuttle or by metro/bus. The immediate area is practical for daily supplies, with supermarkets and eateries close by. However, the neighbourhood is a mixed urban area; some find the surroundings scruffy, and it is not recommended for families seeking a polished residential setting.

The apartment is a ground-floor studio-style unit with one combined living/sleeping area rather than a separate bedroom. It includes a double bed and a sofa bed (2 beds total). The kitchen is equipped with a hob, microwave, fridge, and basic utensils for self-catering. The unit has air conditioning and heating, and soundproofed rooms help reduce street noise. The interior is practical but worn: the sofa bed frame has protruding metal, kitchen cupboard doors are misaligned, the shower door does not close fully, and there are signs of mould on the bathroom ceiling. The apartment has only one small window, making it dark. The bathroom is compact - the toilet, shower, and sink are tightly arranged. The kitchen oven does not work. These conditions mean the property is best suited for short, budget-conscious stays where the focus is on location and price rather than comfort or modern decor.

The apartment's fully equipped kitchen includes a hob, microwave, fridge, and cooking basics, making self-catering practical. The surrounding Usera district (Madrid's Chinatown) has many Asian eateries - including Chinese, Vietnamese, and Italian options such as Lao Tou, I Love Pho, and IGo Pasta - all within 0.5 km. Supermarkets for groceries are nearby, so guests can stock up easily. There is no restaurant or bar on-site, so all meals are either self-prepared or eaten out.

The apartment offers free Wi-Fi inside the rooms, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV. A washing machine and ironing facilities are available. Security features include 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas and outside, key access, and a security alarm. Private check-in/check-out is standard. An airport shuttle is available at an additional cost. Daily housekeeping and ironing services can be arranged for a fee. Babysitting/child services are also offered for an extra charge. Pets are allowed on request with possible charges. There is no parking on-site, and the area has paid parking zones.
