The hotel sits directly adjacent to a busy railway viaduct with trains passing every 20-60 seconds, 24 hours a day. Despite the noise, the location is ideal for sightseeing: the Reichstag, Unter den Linden, and the River Spree are all within a 10-minute walk. Friedrichstrasse station provides direct rail links to all parts of the city and Tegel Airport. No parking is available, so using public transport or the hotel's bicycle rental is recommended for getting around.

Room sizes vary; some are compact while suites are spacious with a separate living area. All rooms include heating, a flat-screen TV, a work desk, and soundproofed windows. However, the proximity to the train viaduct means significant noise, especially in rooms facing the tracks. Earplugs are provided, but light sleepers should request a courtyard-side room. No air conditioning is available; keeping windows closed to reduce noise can make rooms warm. Shared bathrooms are cleaned regularly and used by guests on the same hall. There are no twin rooms (only double beds), no balconies, and no kitchenettes.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but a buffet breakfast is served at the neighbouring restaurant (€15-16 per person). The buffet includes bread, pastries, and hot drinks. The snack bar in the lobby sells light snacks, drinks, and wine/champagne for purchase. A welcome drink is offered upon arrival. For more dining variety, numerous restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk of the hotel.

While there is no spa, gym, or pool, the inner courtyard provides a green seating area to relax. Bicycle rental is available for an additional charge, giving easy access to the city's sights. No other leisure facilities are on site.

WiFi is free but can be unreliable in some rooms, especially on upper floors. Luggage storage is free from 07:00 to 23:00, and lockers are available for secure storage. The hotel has a lift in the newer section, but the historic part (floors 1 and 2) is accessible only by stairs.
