The hotel sits on a quiet central street, 150 metres from the Spittelmarkt U-Bahn station (U2 line). Many of Berlin's main attractions-including Museum Island (15 minutes on foot), Checkpoint Charlie (20 minutes), Alexanderplatz, and the Brandenburg Gate-are reachable on foot or after a few stops by underground. The surrounding area includes several restaurants and a Netto supermarket open until midnight; a good bakery is a minute away on the corner. On-site paid parking (€20/day) is available.

The hotel provides double, twin/double, and triple rooms, all with air conditioning, heating, a private bathroom with walk-in shower or bathtub, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee maker, and hairdryer. Rooms are clean but compact-some are very small, with the bathroom door hitting the bed when opened. Decor is basic and simple; the overall feel is more akin to a student residence than a stylish hotel. There is no minibar, refrigerator, or safe in the room. Street-side rooms can be noisy when windows are open; non-road-facing floors (especially upper floors) are quieter. The lift is reported as needing maintenance. Room cleaning occurs every 5 days unless requested for a surcharge.

Breakfast (€17) is a buffet with bread, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, cereals, cheese, cold cuts, boiled eggs, filter coffee, and tea. It is generally described as solid and tasty, though the breakfast room is located in the basement and has occasionally been described as basic. A good bakery is around the corner, and several restaurants (including an Italian place opposite the entrance) are within a short walk.
