HOTEL ASTORIA, Bologna

The hotel sits in a quiet residential area within walking distance of the city's main museums, monuments, and shopping streets. With a tram stop nearby and the central station close by, the location works well for day trips by rail. A range of restaurants and shops are within a 5-minute walk, making it easy to find dining or supplies without returning to the tourist core. The immediate area is residential, so late-night street activity is limited but the hotel remains convenient for car-free exploration.

Breakfast is a continental buffet with extensive sweet options, pastries, cereals, cakes, cold cuts, and hot items such as eggs and bacon. A chocolate fountain, fresh waffles, and a self-service juice machine are available during peak seasons. Coffee, tea, and water are accessible throughout the day at no extra charge. The breakfast room can become crowded at peak hours, but the summer courtyard offers a pleasant alternative with more space. The hotel has no restaurant or bar; however, a range of eateries can be found within a 5-minute walk.

The hotel provides a fitness centre and complimentary bicycle hire for exploring the city independently. Bikes are older models but functional for short trips to the station or centre. Reception can also arrange weekend tours and excursions. There is an internal courtyard with a gazebo and garden seating, often used for summer breakfasts or as a quiet afternoon reading spot. No pool, spa, or sauna is available.

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, free Wi-Fi throughout, and complimentary luggage storage. On-site private parking costs €20 per night (no advance reservation). The property has an elevator, business centre, meeting/banquet facilities, and offers express check-in/out. Laundry, dry cleaning, and ironing services are available. Safety features include CCTV, security alarms, smoke alarms, and a safety deposit box at reception. The luggage storage is in a shared area; securing valuables in the room safe is advisable. No airport shuttle or pet accommodation is offered.
