ASTORIA HOTEL, London

The hotel occupies a Neo-Georgian building on a quiet tree-lined street, under 2 km from Marble Arch and 2 km from Bayswater's shopping district. Paddington Station - with Heathrow connections in 20 minutes - is a 5-minute walk away. Hyde Park is within 1 km, and Buckingham Palace is less than 3 km from the property. The immediate area offers numerous restaurants, cafés, and shops within a 5-minute radius. The location is well-connected by buses and tube, making it a practical base for sightseeing. Parking is on-site but limited, and not all rooms have windows that open, so street noise is rarely an issue away from the street-facing rooms.

The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. Breakfast is available as a bookable option - both continental and full English are served. Breakfast timing is 08:00-09:45. It is advisable to confirm breakfast availability and inclusion when making a reservation. For other meals and additional breakfast choices, the immediate area (within 0.3-0.5 km) offers a wide selection of Indian, Malaysian, British, and continental dining. There are also several cafés and fast-food outlets nearby, making it easy to plan meals without needing a car.

The hotel itself has no wellness or leisure facilities. However, its central location means Hyde Park - ideal for jogging, walking, or seasonal events - is less than 10 minutes on foot. Paddington Recreation Ground is also a short walk away for sports and green space.

Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the property. Luggage storage at reception is free, allowing early arrivals or late departures to explore the city hands-free. Private parking is available on site at £15/day (cars) or £20/day (vans), but spaces are limited and cannot be reserved in advance - parking must be arranged at check-in. The property has no lift; all rooms are accessed via narrow, steep stairs. Reception is located at a separate building 2 doors away. A concierge service is available. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key access. No pets are allowed, and smoking is prohibited throughout. Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, and JCB.
