Fortifications of Quebec National Historic Site is 5 minutes away on foot, and Ursulines de Québec Museum is 100 metres away. Gare du Palais train station is a 15-minute walk. The area is densely packed with restaurants, cafés, and shops, but note that the property sits uphill on steep streets. Public parking is available in nearby garages but can be up to 8 minutes walking distance, so plan accordingly if arriving by car.

Room types range from private double rooms with ensuite bathrooms to budget rooms with shared bathroom facilities down the hall. All rooms include air conditioning, a cable TV, a desk, and natural daylight. Room sizes are often very small, particularly on the 4th floor (garret rooms), where space may not allow an open suitcase. Some rooms have beds positioned against a wall with access from only one side. Mattress firmness and pillow comfort vary, with some reports of soft or squeaky beds. Windows may lack screens, and rooms without working windows cannot be ventilated when the AC is off.
