BAYMONT BY WYNDHAM GALVESTON, Galveston

The Baymont by Wyndham Galveston is set about 200 metres from the beach and the Seawall Boulevard, offering easy access to the waterfront on foot. Downtown Galveston is a 10-minute drive away, while Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark and Moody Gardens are both within 2 km. Scholes International Airport is 5 km from the hotel, and William P. Hobby Airport is 61 km away. The surrounding area is well served by several fast-food restaurants, a Walmart and a Kroger supermarket, all within walking distance. The hotel is set back from the main road, which helps keep the immediate area quiet, though the single entrance can create a partially blocked view when exiting by car. On-site parking is free but requires an advance reservation, so planning ahead is recommended.

Rooms are generously sized and come with air conditioning, heating, a seating area, wardrobe, and carpeted floors. Bedding options include rooms with one king bed or two double/queen beds. Private bathrooms offer a walk-in shower or a bathtub with shower, and include a hairdryer. Certain rooms include a balcony, and some provide ocean views. Room entry is by key card, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Practical amenities are confirmed: a flat-screen TV with cable channels, tea and coffee making facilities, and ironing equipment. Noise between rooms and from the corridor can be noticeable, so higher-floor rooms away from high-traffic areas are advisable for light sleepers.

The hotel serves a daily continental breakfast in a small dining room. The hot selection is limited to a self-serve waffle maker; the rest of the offering consists of packaged pastries, bread for toast, and cereals. Breakfast ends at 09:00, which is earlier than many hotels. For those seeking a wider variety or a later meal, several fast-food restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, including Waffle House, Jimmy John's, and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. Vending machines for snacks and beverages are available on-site 24/7. There is no restaurant or bar on the property.

The outdoor swimming pool operates seasonally, with opening hours from 10:00 to 22:00 every day. There are no additional poolside amenities or lounging areas. For indoor activity, a fitness centre is available, and the property also has a business centre with free use.
