CARDINAL VATICAN INN, Rome

Located in the lively Prati district, the inn sits within easy reach of the Vatican - the Museums and St. Peter's are both a 10-minute walk, and Castel Sant'Angelo is 15 minutes on foot. Ottaviano metro station (500 m) provides direct connections across Rome, including the historic centre and Termini station. The immediate surroundings are packed with restaurants, bars, and shops, making it easy to find dining and essentials. The neighbourhood is safe and walkable, with bus stops also nearby for added flexibility. For airport transfers, pre-book the paid shuttle or take the metro to Termini for a train connection.

The inn offers three double rooms on a shared floor, each with air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a private bathroom with shower, bidet, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Rooms feature a wardrobe, desk, tea/coffee maker, electric kettle, and ironing facilities. Some rooms have city views and a private entrance. The shared kitchen and lounge area provide extra space for preparing snacks or relaxing. Rooms are cleaned daily, with towel changes every three days. The accommodation is ideal for short stays focused on visiting the Vatican, with a practical layout rather than luxury.

Breakfast is not served on-site but is provided as a voucher for a bar a 3-minute walk away. The voucher covers one hot drink (coffee, cappuccino) and one sweet item (croissant, doughnut, or pastry). This is a simple Italian-style breakfast suitable for a light start to the day. The surrounding area has a wide selection of restaurants and cafes within a few hundred metres - options include Italian, Latin, and international cuisine at places like Okasan (0.5 km), El Maiz Roma (0.5 km), and L'Isola della Pizza (0.5 km). The shared kitchen is available for self-catering.

There is no spa, swimming pool, or fitness centre on the property. For those seeking activity, bike tours and walking tours are available at an additional charge, offering a way to explore the area. Happy hour events are also organised for a fee. Temporary art galleries (off-site, with charge) provide cultural options. For relaxation, guests can use the shared lounge/TV area. The location's proximity to the Vatican and Prati district means most leisure time is spent exploring the city on foot or by metro.
