B&B HOTEL WIEN-HEILIGENSTADT, Vienna

The hotel sits in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Heiligenstadt, roughly 21 km from Vienna International Airport. The nearest metro station (U4 Spittelau) and tram line D are within a short walk, providing a direct link to central attractions such as St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Volksgarten in about 20 minutes. The area itself is calm and safe, with a McDonald's and a 24-hour Shell shop 200 metres away, and several dining options within 0.5 km. On-site paid parking (€18/day) covers cars and bicycles, though the garage entrance is not prominently signposted. Rooms facing the street or rail lines can experience significant noise, so travellers who value quiet should request a room on a higher floor or facing the courtyard.

Breakfast is a continental buffet available at an additional charge of €13 per person. The selection includes bread, pastries, cereal, yoghurt, cold cuts, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and tea. While the breakfast is considered reasonable for the price, the variety is noted as limited and the buffet can be crowded during peak hours. The hotel has a small bar for drinks, but it is not staffed around the clock; if the receptionist has left for the evening, no bar service is available. For guests seeking a more substantial meal or alternative dining, several restaurants and a McDonald's are within a 5-minute walk, and the centre offers extensive options a 20-minute tram ride away.

B&B Hotel Wien-Heiligenstadt focuses on essential accommodations and does not offer on-site wellness or fitness facilities. The surrounding area, however, provides opportunities for outdoor recreation including ice-skating, boating, kayaking, and canoeing. The neighbourhood is quiet and suitable for walks, and the efficient public transport system makes it easy to reach Vienna's cultural and leisure attractions in the city centre.

The hotel offers free WiFi in all areas, a lift, and daily housekeeping. Private underground parking is available for €18 per day with a 2.10 m height limit; no reservation is needed, and the garage also accommodates bicycles free of charge. Self check-in is available, which is convenient for late arrivals. The reception is staffed until 23:00, and luggage storage can be arranged. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and a security alarm. Pets are allowed on request with possible charges. Cots are available on request, but requesting them in advance is recommended to ensure availability. Payment is accepted via American Express, Visa, Maestro, EC-Card, and MasterCard. The hotel provides an invoice upon request.
