The hostel is within a 15-minute walk of the Ringstraße, the Votive Church, and the University of Vienna. Tram line D stops directly in front of the building, providing a direct route to the city centre and Franz Josef train station. The U4 metro line is a 5-minute walk away, and the Strudlhofstiege staircase is a 5-minute walk. A supermarket is 150 metres away, and several restaurants and bars lie within 300 metres. The location is well suited for walking to many top attractions, though using the tram is quicker for longer journeys.

The accommodation consists of single rooms with 1 bed and twin rooms with 2 beds. Each room includes a private washbasin, towels, and basic furniture such as a desk and wardrobe. Bathrooms and toilets are shared and are located on the corridor. Rooms are generally small and simply furnished; some have older furniture and squeaky beds. No air conditioning is available, and windows provide the only ventilation, which can make rooms warm in summer. Soundproofing between rooms is minimal, so noise from neighbours and the hallway can be audible. Some rooms face the garden and are quieter.

A paid continental breakfast is offered, with bread, pastries, and hot drinks. The snack bar and on-site coffee house provide drinks and light snacks. A restaurant is next door, and a supermarket 150 metres away stocks groceries and takeaway food. Many restaurants and bars are within a short walk. There is no shared kitchen, but a microwave and fridge are available in the common area for reheating pre-cooked food.

Leisure options include a pleasant inner courtyard garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue facilities. Inside, there is a games room, table tennis, darts, and a shared lounge/TV area with a TV. Free activities include movie nights, hiking, cycling, evening entertainment, and live sport events. A tour or class about local culture is also available. There is no swimming pool or spa.
