BEST WESTERN WOODLAND HILLS, Los Angeles

The hotel is situated right on Ventura Boulevard, a major thoroughfare, placing it centrally in the West Valley. A large shopping center directly across the street houses a Ralphs and a Sprouts market, along with several dining options. Within a 0.5 km radius, there are over a dozen restaurants, from burger joints to Thai and Mediterranean cuisine. Bob Hope Airport is 23 km away, Los Angeles is 36 km, and Santa Monica is 20 km. While the location offers excellent walkability for daily needs and a variety of meals, the street-facing rooms can experience constant traffic noise. Rooms located at the back of the property are noticeably quieter. The freeway is nearby, making it a convenient base for driving to Malibu, Santa Monica, and other Los Angeles attractions.

Room types available are double rooms (one bed), quadruple rooms (two beds), and suites (three beds). All accommodations feature air conditioning, a work desk, ironing facilities, a tea and coffee maker, and a compact hairdryer. The rooms are a mix of older and well-kept furnishings; some have been refreshed. Rooms are often described as clean but compact, especially the double-queen configuration. Ventilation relies on the air conditioning, which can be noisy. Rooms on the second floor have been noted to be quiet, and rooms at the back of the property are away from street noise. There is no balcony. Housekeeping is provided daily and includes towel and bed-making service.

The breakfast includes a variety of options such as eggs, sausage patties, French toast sticks, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and several juice choices. There is an almond milk option available. The breakfast area can feel small and may become crowded during peak times. The hotel does not have a dedicated restaurant or bar, but the location is exceptionally convenient for dining out. Over a dozen restaurants are within a 0.5 km walk, offering diverse cuisines, and a shopping center with cafes and a grocery store is directly across the street.

The outdoor pool is open all year and is surrounded by sun loungers, umbrellas, and a fence. Pool and beach towels are provided. The hot tub/jacuzzi is an additional free amenity and can reach temperatures of 41 °C. While the pool area is described as serene, the pool itself is not heated, so it can be cold even in warm weather. The hot tub, however, is a popular feature for evening relaxation. There is no gym on site, but the nearby shopping center and numerous restaurants provide ample leisure activity within walking distance.

Free private parking is a major convenience, though a reservation is not possible and the lot can sometimes be full. Wi-Fi is free and reliable in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out and luggage storage, which is useful for guests arriving before standard check-in or departing on a late flight. A shared lounge/TV area is available. Additional services include a business centre with fax/photocopying for a fee, laundry facilities (extra charge), and vending machines for snacks and drinks. The property is wheelchair accessible and features tactile signs, braille, and accessible parking. Security includes CCTV, smoke alarms, and key card access. An ice machine is available on site.
