CALMA ROOMS BY CHARMING, Madrid

The property is located in the Salamanca district, an excellent, safe area with a metro station steps from the door providing quick connections to central Madrid and the airport. It is a 20-minute walk to the city centre, 3 km from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and El Retiro Park, 3 km from Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and the Prado Museum, and 10 km from Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport. A wide variety of restaurants and cafés are within 0.5 km, and a taxi to Atocha train station costs around €8.

Rooms are modern, clean, and well-furnished with a private bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and hairdryer. Each room includes air conditioning, heating, soundproof walls, a flat-screen TV, a safe deposit box, and a wardrobe. A dedicated kitchenette area provides a microwave, fridge, electric kettle, coffee machine, and ironing facilities. While rooms are compact, the design and comfort are praised. Noise sensitivity should be noted: road-facing ground-floor rooms can experience street noise and a lack of privacy, requiring curtains drawn. Some rooms also have windows opening directly onto the pavement. For the quietest stay, request an interior or upper-floor room.

Calma Rooms does not offer a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. Each room is equipped with a microwave, fridge, electric kettle, coffee machine, and tea and coffee making facilities, allowing guests to prepare their own simple meals and drinks. A shared lounge on the lower ground floor provides a dining and workspace area for those who wish to eat items they have brought. The surrounding neighbourhood offers numerous restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets within a 0.5 km walk.

Leisure facilities are limited to a shared lounge and TV area that also serves as a workspace and dining room. There is no pool, spa, gym, or garden. A laundry room in the building is a convenient practical feature for longer stays.
