Retiro Park is 2 km away, and the metro (line 9) connects directly to the airport with a change at Colombia station. A bus stop right outside provides routes to Atocha train station. Free street parking is available in the surrounding streets, though no dedicated parking exists on-site. The neighbourhood is safe and peaceful at night, ideal for resting after a day of sightseeing.

Rooms are equipped with individual lockers, a light and wall-plug for each bed, and air conditioning. Bottom bunks have curtains for privacy and are walled in, while top bunks are more exposed. The rooms are generally kept clean and tidy, with soundproofing to keep noise levels low. Some mattresses may be felt as basic, and a few rooms have windows that cannot be opened, so ventilation can be limited. The accommodation suits budget-conscious travellers, especially those prioritising location and price over luxury. Groups of up to 6 can book a private dorm, otherwise room assignment may separate companions.

Breakfast is served from 07:30 in the dining room, offering toast, cereal, milk, coffee, juice, jam, chocolate spread, and sometimes cheese or cold cuts.
