CANDLEWOOD SUITES DALLAS - PLANO MEDICAL CENTER, Dallas

Located behind a car dealership and accessible via a shared parking lot, the Candlewood Suites Dallas - Plano Medical Center is easy to miss without precise directions. The property is near the freeway for convenient highway travel, yet the entrance from the back parking lot does not lead directly into the lobby. Despite its hidden position, the location is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Thai Fusion, Mimi's Star Cafe, IHOP, Red Hot & Blue, and Zorba's Gyros. A grocery store and rental car centre are also nearby. The free on-site parking is a practical advantage, though the lot is open and unfenced, which some travellers may find less secure at night.

The suites are designed for extended stays, featuring a well-stocked kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and stove for self-catering. Beds are comfortable with quality pillows and thick white towels. Rooms are generally quiet, but those adjacent to the 24-hour gym and laundry areas can be noisier; light sleepers should request an alternative room. Management changes have led to noticeable improvements in cleanliness and upkeep, with daily housekeeping available. Some older rooms may show signs of wear but are functional. Note that the maximum occupancy is four guests, and no extra beds or cots can be added.

The hotel provides a continental breakfast each morning. For those who prefer to cook their own meals, the kitchenette is equipped with cookware, dishes, and utensils, making it convenient to prepare breakfast or dinner. Nearby dining options within a short walk include Mimi's Star Cafe, Thai Fusion, IHOP, Red Hot & Blue, and Zorba's Gyros, offering a range of cuisines. A grocery store is also within walking distance for stocking the kitchenette.

The pool is small but enjoyable during the summer months. The fitness room is available for basic workouts, and the spa and wellness centre provides additional relaxation options. The availability of laundry facilities on site is convenient for longer stays. The business centre can support work needs.

Complementing the accommodations, the hotel offers a business centre for work requirements and complimentary internet access throughout. Accessibility features include wheelchair access and designated handicap parking. Pet policy permits animals with potential fees; confirm the details at booking. Housekeeping services are provided daily for multi-night stays, and the front desk staff is helpful and accommodating.
