Hotel Details

Location

Opposite Kings Cross and St Pancras stations, this budget hotel sits at the centre of London's transport network.

The Carlton Hotel is across the road from Kings Cross and St Pancras stations, providing direct rail access to Eurostar, Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton airports. The British Library is a 3-minute walk, and Oxford Street, Covent Garden, and Leicester Square are about 15 minutes by Tube. Numerous restaurants, bars, and shops surround the hotel. Euston station is a 7-10 minute walk. For drivers, free street parking is available evenings and weekends, but the hotel has no car park.

Accommodation

Rooms are compact and basic, each with a private shower, TV, and tea/coffee facilities. Some rooms face the busy main road.

Each room includes a TV, electric kettle, and private bathroom with a shower. Hairdryers are available from reception. Rooms tend to be small, typical of central London budget hotels. Rooms facing the main road can be noisy from traffic and nightlife; there is no air conditioning, so windows may need to be opened on warm nights, increasing noise. The lift serves only some rooms; others require climbing narrow stairs. Bed comfort varies: some beds are comfortable, others are firm. Daily housekeeping is provided. Basement rooms may pick up Tube noise. Single and family rooms are available.

Dining

The hotel does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant, but the surrounding area offers many dining options within a short walk.

There is no on-site breakfast, restaurant, or bar. The location opposite Kings Cross means dozens of eateries are within minutes on foot, including Nando's, Five Guys, Pizza Union, Wasabi Sushi, and many more. There are also supermarkets and coffee shops nearby for breakfast or snacks. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, and a 24-hour reception are available. The hotel has a lift but it does not serve all rooms.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Luggage storage is offered before check-in and after check-out, allowing you to explore hands-free. The 24-hour reception accommodates late arrivals. A lift is present but only reaches certain floors; some rooms are accessible only by stairs. Fax and photocopying services are available. Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, and Maestro. Pets are not allowed. There is no parking on site; free street parking is available during limited hours (Monday-Friday 6:30pm-8:30am, Saturday from 1:30pm, all day Sunday).
