The American Museum of Natural History is a 15-minute walk, and Times Square is reachable in about 10 minutes by subway. Several restaurants, including Pizzeria Sirenetta, Amelie Wine Bar, and Jacob's Pickles, are within a five-minute walk. The immediate neighbourhood can feel sketchy at times, particularly late at night. The location is well-suited for solo travellers who want easy access to major sights by foot and subway.

Rooms feature bunk beds accommodating two people. Some rooms offer a private bathroom for an extra cost; otherwise bathrooms are shared. Lockers are provided in the dormitories and already have locks fitted. Rooms may have window air conditioning units and heating, though temperature can be uneven. Street-facing rooms can experience significant noise, and some windows do not close fully. Mattress quality is basic, and rooms are compact. Towels are not included but are available for a refundable $5 deposit. New York City residents are not accepted.

Wi-Fi is complimentary but most reliable on the first floor. A shared kitchen and a lounge/TV area are available. Luggage storage is free during the stay and on check-out day; there is a $20 fee per bag after check-out. A paid airport shuttle can be requested after booking.
